Double-O

We’ve worked inside the problem.

We’re experts in leading transformation, shaping operating models, coaching leaders and delivering difficult initiatives inside complex organisations.

Keep change moving.

We work alongside leaders and teams to turn change into real progress, while keeping the business moving and building capability that lasts well beyond the work.

Different strengths. One approach.

Together our people combine organisational design, leadership development and hands-on delivery to help organisations turn intent into real and enduring results.

Cain Duell

– Designs the system around the work.

Cain works where strategy, structure and delivery need to come together.

He helps leaders simplify complexity, shape practical operating models and create the conditions for work to flow.

Known for seeing the system behind the symptoms.

Cain works where strategy and delivery need to meet - helping organisations make sure the work actually happens. He’s often brought in when priorities are competing, delivery is slowing down, or the way work is structured is getting in the way. He helps leaders cut through noise, reshape how work gets done, and restore the flow needed to turn plans into progress. His strength is making sense of complexity and designing operating models that support real delivery - not just good intentions. Cain’s approach is straightforward: focus on what matters, remove what gets in the way, and get the work moving. Whether he’s shaping an operating model or helping a leadership team reset how work flows across the organisation, his focus is always the same: connect strategy to delivery and make progress visible. An excellent raconteur and still an average fly-fisherman, he’ll tell you the work isn’t about theory - just getting the right things moving. In his experience, that’s usually what makes the difference.

Joe Kearns

– Helps leadership teams turn intent into execution.

Joe works alongside leadership teams when the intent is clear but priorities, ownership and delivery are not yet joined up.

He helps leadership teams align around what matters, create practical accountability and make progress visible.

Known for honest conversations and useful structure.

Joe works with organisations to turn intent into real, measurable outcomes - particularly in large, complex transformations. He’s typically brought in when there’s a clear ambition for change, but connecting that ambition to delivery is proving harder than expected. He helps leadership teams clarify priorities, align around what matters, and ensure outcomes are visible and measurable across the organisation. His strength is getting to the heart of a problem quickly, then helping organisations focus on the work that will actually move the dial - not just what keeps people busy. Joe’s approach is practical: make priorities clear, make outcomes measurable, and ensure the work connects from strategy through to delivery. Whether he’s shaping a transformation, supporting a leadership team, or helping reset direction, the goal is always the same: turn intent into outcomes that matter. His background spans more than a decade - though his Bachelor of Music still raises a few eyebrows. It does, however, make him unusually sensitive to timing, which turns out to matter more than most organisations think.

Luke Johnstone

– Gets important work finished.

Luke works inside complex initiatives when progress has become difficult, dependencies are building or the path forward is unclear.

He helps teams focus on the next meaningful outcome and keep delivery moving.

Known for calm, clarity and momentum in ambiguous work.

Some people specialise in strategy. Others specialise in delivery. Luke specialises in getting important things finished. He works with organisations when work has become complex, stuck, or difficult to navigate. Helping teams find clarity, regain momentum, and move forward with confidence. His strength is helping people make sense of ambiguity, align around what matters, and focus on the work that will have the biggest impact. Luke's approach is simple: stop starting, start finishing. Whether he's leading a transformation programme, untangling a struggling initiative, or helping a team regain momentum, his focus is always the same: make progress visible, reduce unnecessary complexity, and deliver outcomes that matter. When there's something important to deliver, he's in his element. Fortunately, there always seems to be something important to deliver.

Amanda Jarvie

– Makes change work in the real world.

Amanda helps organisations turn strategy and complex change into practical ways of working that people can understand, adopt and sustain.

She simplifies complexity, builds confidence and helps teams keep delivering while change is happening.

Known for calm, practical thinking and turning messy challenges into clear next steps.

Amanda helps organisations embed change, build capability, and turn good ideas into ways of working that people can actually sustain. While others may help define the direction, Amanda is often the person who makes sure it works in the real world. She is often brought in when organisations are trying to translate strategy into action, establish new operating models, lift performance, or help teams navigate complex change while still delivering day-to-day outcomes. Her strength is simplifying complexity. Amanda has a knack for taking big ideas, competing priorities and messy challenges and turning them into clear, practical next steps that people can understand and get behind. She brings a strong customer lens to every piece of work and is relentless about focusing teams on what matters most. Amanda's approach is practical, collaborative and quietly influential. Known for her calm and dependable style, she quickly becomes a trusted part of the team, helping leaders succeed, building confidence in others, and creating the clarity needed to move forward. Whether she's designing new ways of working, building team capability, facilitating difficult conversations or helping leaders navigate transformation, her focus is always the same: leaving people, teams and organisations stronger than she found them. Amanda is the consultant teams never want to leave – which is slightly inconvenient, because her real strength is making sure they no longer need her.
